HEAD OF SOCIAL CARE OPERATIONS

 

We're seeking a dedicated individual to provide operational leadership for our Residential Services. In this role, you'll foster person-centered care approaches and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. You will oversee safeguarding practices, compliance, and lead our care teams daily. LOCATION: Onsite, BN8 4EF

SALARY: £44,000- £50,000 per annum

HOURS: Full time, 5 days a week

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Provide leadership and oversight for both children’s and adults’ services, ensuring high-quality care delivery across all operational areas.
  • Role model strong and effective relationship building with all stakeholders within and outside of the Foundation.
  • Work closely with and provide support to Service Managers, helping them maintain operational excellence and compliance with OFSTED and CQC standards.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and develop care services, ensuring that they consistently meet regulatory requirements and exceed standards in quality, safety, and service delivery.
  • Lead on safeguarding practices across services, ensuring robust policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement and enhance service outcomes.
  • Manage resources and staffing effectively to ensure optimal care is delivered while maintaining regulatory and operational efficiency.

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven experience in managing residential services, ideally within children or specialist care settings.
  • A comprehensive understanding of OFSTED and standards for residential care.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Experience in acting as a Registered Manager and/or Safeguarding Lead is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to balance operational needs and regulatory compliance.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (Level 5 or equivalent).
