Activities Coordinator
Chailey Heritage Foundation is looking for an Activities Coordinator to join a unique place to work on a 6 month FTC. The successful candidate will have a creative background and will have experience planning/running and organising creative based activities.
LOCATION: On Site
SALARY: £24,126 (37hrs) - Full time equvilient
HOURS: 37 hours per week

What you’ll be doing:
You will be planning and delivering engaging fun and developmental activity sessions to adults with complex needs.
Plan activities and sessions you’d be involved with which could be; cooking, arts/games/ music and other activities club within the leisure and skills centre.
Prepare workspaces and equipment in advance of session start times, as well as ensuring workspace is kept tidy at all times.
Implement and comply with health and safety procedures, in relation to the equipment used and activities undertaken.
Maintain cooking equipment to a high standard and arrange repair / replacement of items.
Work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and mandatory training
Complete all admin duties associated with the role
Prepare information/data required by senior managers for reports/papers
Provide different forms in different formats (email, written, verbal)
Document and celebrate achievements and activities completed by individuals’ accessing sessions
Evaluate event/activity feedback to assess effectiveness/opportunities for improvement
What you bring to the table:
Essential:
Previous experience planning and running activities
GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
Food Hygiene level 2 or willingness to work towards
First Aid qualification or willingness to work towards
Able to support children and young adults to participate in a range of activities.
Highly organised, and able to multi-task.
Other useful skills and experience:
Experience of working with children and/or adults with special educational needs and complex disabilities
Practical experience/understanding of young people with disabilities and barriers and how to apply to arranging activities and events
This is a fantastic opportunity for create meaningful and fun creative activities for the Young People and Adults that use the leisure and skill centre.
